The show will be held over the Sendh Talab area of Atal Nagar (Naya Raipur) between 10 a.m. and 12 noon. The event is part of the state’s Rajyotsav celebrations, organized jointly by the Indian Air Force and the Government of Chhattisgarh.

A Display of Skill and Precision

Nine Hawk Mk-132 jets of the Suryakiran team will take to the skies, performing high-speed formations and synchronized maneuvers such as Heart in the Sky, Arrowhead, and Bomb Burst. Known for their precision flying and tricolour smoke trails, the Suryakiran pilots are among the IAF’s most experienced aviators.

Adding to the excitement, the elite Akash Ganga Paratroopers will stage a free-fall jump from around 10,000 feet, thrilling spectators gathered around the water body.

Preparations and Public Advisory

A full-dress rehearsal was held on Monday to ensure flight safety and smooth crowd management. Local authorities have made extensive traffic arrangements, with diversions planned around Atal Nagar and the approach roads leading to Sendh Talab.

Officials have advised residents to arrive early, use designated parking areas, and follow on-ground instructions. For safety reasons, commercial flight operations at Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur, will remain suspended between 10 a.m. and 12 noon during the show.

A Celebration of Pride and Progress

The air show is being seen as a symbol of pride for Chhattisgarh as it celebrates 25 years of statehood. The event aims to inspire young people to explore careers in the defence forces while offering citizens a rare chance to witness India’s aerial excellence up close.

Residents of Raipur and nearby districts are expected to gather in large numbers to watch the skies burst into colour as the Suryakiran jets draw the tricolour above Naya Raipur.
