RAIPUR, August 2 — Underprivileged students from remote tribal belts who cracked the highly competitive NEET medical entrance exam sat inside the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday to demand better educational safeguards for central India. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai hosted the successful candidates from the state-run Prayas Residential Schools to outline a massive expansion of regional medical infrastructure. The state has scrambled to scale up its learning facilities after a summer of intense national scrutiny over examination integrity. Sai confirmed that five new medical colleges are currently under construction across Chhattisgarh, a move that injects 250 additional MBBS seats directly into the state’s public healthcare pipeline.

The 17 operational Prayas campuses specifically coach talented students from marginalized backgrounds who can’t afford private tuition. Sai didn’t just congratulate the batch; he explicitly detailed new structural monitoring tools designed to fix administrative neglect in remote institutional setups. The administration is currently building a centralized Chief Minister’s Dashboard to track real-time teacher attendance, hospital resources, and rural hostel conditions.

But can digital tracking tools fix the historical lack of infrastructure in tribal regions?

Students from vulnerable districts pressed the administration for practical resource guarantees rather than general assurances during the open session. In response, the government pointed to the rapid expansion of its high-tech Nalanda library network. Exactly 34 new premium learning centres are under construction statewide, designed to provide competitive exam aspirants with round-the-clock access to digital libraries and offline study materials.

And the state’s intervention isn’t limited to regional borders.

So the administration widened financial support pipelines, expanding scholarship nets and backing overseas training for the qualified children of registered labourers. The structural upgrades coincide with the rollout of the CM Helpline 1076, an automated public grievance system that routes student and hostel complaints directly to state monitors for rapid closure. During the session, the successful candidates also pledged to join the national “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan,” a anti-addiction drive aimed at protecting student communities from substance abuse.

Chhattisgarh started its statehood with only one functional medical college, but the network has since grown to 15 operational institutions spanning both public and private sectors. The upcoming campuses aim to ensure that rural doctors train inside the state and remain positioned to serve remote tribal settlements after graduation.
