Raipur: The countdown has officially begun for the biggest recruitment exam in the state. The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has finalized the schedule for the State Service Examination (SSE) Prelims 2025. The preliminary exam will be conducted across the state on February 22, 2026 (Sunday).
238 Officers to be Recruited
This year, the commission has released a notification for a total of 238 vacancies across 17 different state departments. This includes highly coveted posts such as Deputy Collector (14 posts), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and State Finance Service officers. With the application window now closed, lakhs of aspirants are entering the final revision phase.
Admit Card Release Date
According to commission trends, the admit cards for the Preliminary examination are released 10 to 12 days before the exam date. Candidates can expect the download link to go live between February 10 and February 12, 2026.
Exam Pattern Reminder
The exam will be held in two shifts on Feb 22:
1. Paper I (General Studies): 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Merit deciding)
2. Paper II (CSAT): 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM (Qualifying nature)
How to Download Admit Card (Once Released):
1. Visit the official website: psc.cg.gov.in
2. Click on the link “View/Print Online Admit Card of State Service (Prelims) Exam-2025”.
3. Login with your Email ID and Password.
4. Download and print the admit card.

Competition is expected to be fierce this year. Experts advise candidates to focus heavily on Chhattisgarh General Knowledge, which holds significant weightage in Paper I.
