RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarhi film industry, popularly known as Chhollywood, has been rocked by a shocking scandal involving prominent actor and producer Mohit Sahu. The Purani Basti police in Raipur have registered a case against Sahu following severe allegations of physical assault, forced marriage, and fraud leveled by a young woman described as his girlfriend.
The Incident
The alleged assault took place at the Silver Oak Residency in the Bhatagaon area of Raipur. According to the complaint, Sahu barged into the victim’s apartment (Block 410) and brutally attacked her with a hard, blunt object.
Neighbors and security guards were alerted by the disturbance, and videos circulating on social media reportedly show the apartment in disarray, with bloodstains on the floor and a broken door latch, pointing to a violent struggle. The victim sustained serious head injuries and was seen in a bloody condition in viral clips before being rushed for a medical examination.
The “Ujjain Marriage” Angle
The victim has claimed that the conflict stems from a complex web of deceit. In her statement to the police, she alleged that Sahu had recently taken her to Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, where he forced her into marriage. However, upon their return to Raipur, Sahu reportedly refused to acknowledge the union publicly.
The situation escalated when the victim confronted him. She further alleged that Sahu is already married and had been keeping both his wife and her in separate locations in the city without their knowledge. When his “double life” was challenged, he allegedly resorted to violence.
Police Action
Confirming the development, Sheel Aditya Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of Purani Basti Police Station, stated that an FIR has been registered based on the victim’s complaint.
“The victim approached the station in an injured state. We immediately sent her for a medical examination. Primary investigations suggest a dispute over their relationship status led to the assault. We are recording her detailed statement, and appropriate legal action will be taken against the accused,” the SHO said.

Mohit Sahu is a well-known figure in the Chhattisgarhi film fraternity, having produced and acted in several regional projects. The allegations have sent shockwaves through the industry, with many awaiting further clarity as the investigation proceeds. The police are currently investigating the validity of the marriage claims and the sequence of events leading to the assault
