Raipur 29 June — Pitching a strong and proactive vision for grassroots empowerment, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma actively participated in the National Rural Development Conference in New Delhi today. Engaging with Union ministers and top officials from across the country, Sharma placed a heavy emphasis on transforming local panchayats into ‘Viksit Gaon’ (Developed Villages)—the fundamental building blocks for a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
Demonstrating a clear commitment to the rural populace, the Deputy CM utilized the national platform to advocate for policies that directly impact the daily lives of farmers, women, and the rural youth.
The high-level brainstorming session, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and spearheaded by Union Rural Development and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, focused heavily on eradicating rural poverty and building a self-reliant agricultural economy.
