Raipur: Great news awaits the married women of Chhattisgarh. The long wait for the next installment of the Vishnu Deo Sai government’s flagship scheme, Mahtari Vandana Yojana, is about to end. According to sources within the department, the 23rd installment (for January 2026) is expected to be transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts by January 10.
Why the date matters
Typically, the state government transfers the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) amount in the first week of every month. However, due to administrative schedules, the transfer is now likely scheduled for the second week. Over 70 lakh women across the state are currently benefiting from this scheme. As per the norm, ₹1000 will be credited directly to the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of eligible women.
How to Check Your Payment Status Online
Beneficiaries do not need to visit their banks to confirm if the money has arrived. You can check the status easily from your mobile phone using the following steps:
1. Visit the official government website: mahtarivandan.cgstate.gov.in
2. Click on the “Application Status” (आवेदन की स्थिति) link on the homepage.
3. Enter your Registered Mobile Number or Aadhaar Number.
4. Enter the Captcha code shown on the screen and click Submit.
5. Your payment details and status will be displayed on the screen.
About the Scheme
The Mahtari Vandana Yojana was launched under “Modi Ki Guarantee” after the BJP government came to power in Chhattisgarh. The scheme aims to economically empower women in the state by providing an annual assistance of ₹12,000 (disbursed as ₹1000 monthly).
