The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education has finalised the July timetable for students seeking to improve their scores or clear supplementary exams.
Raipur , June 3 — The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) hasn’t wasted time finalizing the academic rescue plan for this year’s high school and higher secondary students. The board published the datesheet for the 2026 second main exams on Wednesday, as detailed in a recent Jagran education report. These tests offer a crucial second chance for candidates who applied for supplementary exams or score improvements.
Class 10 students will face their papers from July 9 to July 21. Class 12 candidates don’t get much breathing room either, starting their assessments on July 8 and wrapping up on July 22.
But how exactly do officials orchestrate the exam morning? CGBSE runs the entire operation in a single morning shift. Students can’t afford to be late, as authorities mandate taking seats precisely at 9:00 a.m.
Invigilators won’t delay the process. They hand out answer sheets at 9:05 a.m. sharp. Five minutes later, at 9:10 a.m., students receive their question papers. Writing kicks off at 9:15 a.m., and candidates won’t stop until the 12:15 p.m. bell rings.
And the Class 10 schedule doesn’t leave much room for guesswork. CGBSE officials outlined every single subject code and date in their official release.
Math (code 100) kicks off the Class 10 gauntlet on July 9. Hindi (070) follows on July 11 as the first language paper. English (080) takes the second language slot on July 14, meaning students won’t have a long weekend.
Vocational students step up on July 15. The board tests a massive range of practical skills that day. The roster includes Organized Retailing, Information Technology, Automobile Service Technician, and Health Care. They’ve also scheduled Agriculture, Media and Entertainment, Telecommunications, Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Beauty and Wellness, Electronics and Hardware, Apparel, Construction, Plumbing, Power, and Tourism and Hospitality.
Science (200) candidates don’t get a break, heading into exam halls on July 16. Social Science (300) follows closely on July 18, ensuring students maintain their focus.
By July 20, the board tests third languages. The extensive list covers Sanskrit, Marathi, Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Odia. Students shouldn’t expect any further schedule adjustments for these subjects.
The Class 10 cycle closes on July 21 with special accommodations. Visually impaired students sit for Music (161), while deaf and mute candidates tackle Drawing and Painting (162). The initial Jagran report hasn’t published the day-by-day Class 12 breakdown, but those older students know their exact start and end dates.
Chhattisgarh’s students haven’t got much time left to turn their academic year around.
