New School Buildings for Parsa: ₹33.90 Lakh Sanctioned for Forest-Belt Children in Raigarh

Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary’s initiative to give children in Dharamjaigarh’s forest belt better classrooms; strict quality and timeline checks ordered

Raipur, October 24, 2026: New primary and middle school buildings will be constructed in Parsa village of Raigarh district, with administrative approval of ₹33.90 lakh granted from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Trust. The move is part of the state government’s continuing effort, under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, to expand education facilities in remote and forest-belt areas.

The work was taken up on the initiative of Finance Minister and Raigarh MLA O.P. Choudhary. Parsa is a hamlet of Bairagi gram panchayat in Dharamjaigarh block. Once the buildings are ready, children in the village will have better and well-equipped spaces to study. The initiative is seen as an important step towards strengthening educational opportunities and basic infrastructure in forest areas.

₹14.30 lakh for primary school, ₹19.60 lakh for middle school

Of the total, ₹14.30 lakh has been sanctioned for the new primary school building and ₹19.60 lakh for the new middle school building. Both works have been placed on the high-priority list.

The approval follows a decision taken at the DMF Governing Council meeting held on May 11, 2026. The Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat Dharamjaigarh has been made responsible for executing the construction.

Through the DMF, development work and basic amenities are being promoted in mining-affected areas. The school buildings in Parsa have been taken up in line with this objective.

Quality and deadlines to be monitored

The district administration has directed that construction quality be maintained and the prescribed timeline be followed. Photographs of the site must be taken before the work begins, during construction and after completion.

A notice board will be installed at the site showing the name of the scheme, the sanctioned amount, and the start and completion dates. The executing agency must send a progress report to the DMF by the 5th of every month and must complete the work within the sanctioned amount.
