Iranian missiles streaked toward central Israel early Tuesday. Sirens screamed across Tel Aviv. Residents bolted for shelters while shrapnel from intercepted warheads tore into residential streets in Ramat Gan and Petah Tikva.

Search and rescue teams rushed to multiple impact sites. Israeli police confirmed munition fragments scattered through the Tel Aviv district. Magen David Adom treated seven people — one woman in moderate condition from blast injuries, six others with mild glass shrapnel wounds.

But Israel didn’t wait. The IDF announced fresh waves of strikes on Tehran the same morning. They hit industrial sites churning out ballistic missiles and even a building tied to Iran’s Assembly of Experts in Qom. One Israeli official put it bluntly: “We wanted to prevent them from picking a new supreme leader.”

Simultaneous attacks hammered Beirut too. Hezbollah positions took heavy fire after the Iranian-backed group lobbed drones at northern Israel. Troops pushed deeper into southern Lebanon. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered forces to seize more ground.

This is day four of a war nobody saw coming just a week ago.

It kicked off when U.S. and Israeli strikes killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei last weekend. Iran retaliated hard. Missiles have rained on Israeli cities since. Earlier barrages killed nine in Beit Shemesh and one Filipina caregiver in central Tel Aviv. The latest salvos show Tehran still has teeth.

President Trump shut down any talk of de-escalation. “It’s too late” for negotiations, he said as Iran reportedly floated talks. He framed the campaign as America’s last best shot at smashing Iran’s missile program, its navy, its nuclear dreams and its proxy network.

Netanyahu took it further. In a Farsi message to Iranians he called for mass protests: “Come to the streets… overthrow the regime of fear.” He promised their sacrifices wouldn’t be wasted. The help they wanted had arrived.

Inside Israel the mood holds steady. Analysts on the ground in Tel Aviv shelters report strong backing even from liberal residents. “Everyone is happy that the war is under way,” one pollster noted, “and this time it will be finished.”

Iran’s human toll climbs fast. The Iranian Red Crescent puts deaths at 787 since strikes began. Independent estimates run higher. One girls’ school alone lost 180.

The fighting has already spilled across borders. Hezbollah rockets fly. U.S. embassies shutter in the Gulf. Six American troops died in early Iranian fire. Oil prices spike. Sirens echo from Tel Aviv to Beirut.

Yet Israeli air defenses keep most threats at bay. Tuesday’s barrage produced injuries but no mass casualties. Iron Dome and Arrow systems did their job again.

Still the rhythm feels relentless. Missiles one hour. Israeli jets the next.

What happens when Iran runs low on precision munitions? Or when the U.S. commits more bombers? Trump already hinted the operation could stretch weeks — or longer if needed.

Analysts in Jerusalem and Washington say the real objective goes beyond weapons. Regime change. Israel wants the Islamic Republic gone. Netanyahu’s words and the targeting of leadership sites make that crystal clear.

Tel Aviv residents swept broken glass Tuesday afternoon. Some returned to damaged apartments. Others stayed underground longer than usual. The city that prides itself on resilience looked rattled but not broken.

And the missiles keep coming.
